The Great Agent Hunt
One of the greatest challenges a writer faces on the path to becoming an author is the great agent hunt.  Some people choose not to go for one, with great results.  Currently, I'm trying the agent route.  I'd like to emphasize that not all agents are friendly, honest people who are content to make their money (usually about 25 %) from your successes.  Make sure to check out the "scam alert" pages listed here before sending your hard work out.

In fact, I think I'll list my favorite three of these type of pages first:

Writers Beware

Preditors & Editors

The Rumor Mill

Agent Research - a good sight, will tell you some things for free, but for a full report you'll have to pay money.  (hence, a very nice place, but not my favorite.  :D  )
